Job Summary
Senior Plumbing Designer to lead design and coordination of plumbing systems (domestic water, waste/vent, storm drainage, natural gas, medical gas) in healthcare/education facilities. Responsibilities include BIM production in Revit, hydraulic calculations, multi-disciplinary coordination with architects and engineers, regulatory compliance with IPC/UPC and healthcare standards, site visits for field verification, and client communications. Requires 7+ years of plumbing design experience, Revit proficiency, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field; PE license/CPD/CPDT preferred; Healthcare design and sustainability experience (LEED) valued.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in an related engineering or technical field
- 7+ years of dedicated experience in plumbing design within a consulting engineering or AEC environment
- Expert-level command of Revit
- Comprehensive understanding of plumbing codes (IPC/UPC) and industry-standard design practices
