Job Summary
Build and operate distributed service engineering solutions that process large volumes of software metadata to create a trusted view of Oracle's ecosystem. Develop Java-based backend services that normalize data from multiple upstream systems, establish consistent models, and map ownership, lifecycle states, and dependency relationships across services. Debug issues across service boundaries to improve reliability and performance while supporting teams within a large enterprise environment with evolving requirements. This role offers the opportunity to influence the foundation of a new v1 platform with real scale and impact.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in distributed service engineering or a related software development role
- Strong development experience in Java or another object-oriented language
- Experience building or operating distributed systems and APIs at scale
- Familiarity with databases, data processing, and production-grade backend services
- Experience debugging across service boundaries and improving reliability and performance
- Comfort working in a large enterprise environment with ambiguous, evolving requirements
