Job Summary
Senior Platform Engineer to lead and own scalable infrastructure for a fast-growing ad-tech platform. Responsibilities include optimizing Kubernetes (GKE) at scale, designing and implementing IaC with Terraform, building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD), creating Helm charts across environments, ensuring platform reliability (load balancing, auto-scaling, multi-region resilience), defining observability standards (Grafana, New Relic, OpenTelemetry), leading incidents on primary revenue-generating applications, mentoring engineers, and participating in the on-call rotation. Technologies used include Ruby/Rails, Elixir, Python, JavaScript, and cloud platforms (GCP, AWS). Requires strong independence, 7+ years of experience, and current authorization to work in the United States. Hybrid work environment with NYC headquarters; relocation not specified.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering experience
- Deep hands-on expertise with Kubernetes in production environments (GKE)
- Strong Terraform skills — module authoring and IaC architecture
- Experience with GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipeline design at scale
- Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, and security across GCP
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on complex, ambiguous problems
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing platform culture
