Job Summary
Conduct cloud platform migrations and support software teams by designing scalable, automated infrastructure using Terraform, ARM, or CloudFormation. Manage containerized environments with Docker and Kubernetes while establishing CI/CD pipelines and observability systems for logging and monitoring. Collaborate with external partners on requirements and designs, running performance tests to forecast capacity and forecast future needs. Apply infrastructure as code and service design principles to ensure sustainable, secure delivery across client projects and internal initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
- Experience building out scalable and automated cloud platforms, preferably on AWS
- Experience with provisioning and supporting cloud infrastructure, using infrastructure as code and CI/CD, using tools such as Terraform, ARM (Azure Resource Manager) or Cloudformation (AWS)
- Experience with ontainerisation technology and various orchestration platforms e.g. Docker, Kubernetes etc
- Worked with external partners on requirements and designs that scale and are delivered on time
- Knowledge of logging and monitoring
- Strong foundations in service observability and service design
- Strong commitment to doing things in a sustainable and secure way
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in provisioning tools such as Ansible/ Puppet/ Chef
- Experience with observability with New Relic or similar to effectively troubleshoot and optimize software systems
- Basic programming language knowledge in order to provide tooling (Python, Bash, PowerShell etc)
- Run performance and load tests at scale, and are able to forecast capacity for the future
