Job Summary
Senior Platform Engineer responsible for end-to-end operations of products managed by the Platform Engineering team, including the centralized Kubernetes cluster and managed CI/CD solutions. Focus on automation and reliability with a product mindset, contributing to architecture and engineering practices across the company. Lead infrastructure migration projects (Akamai to AWS; New Relic to Grafana; Terraform to AWS CDK), ensure high standards of security, and drive observability using Grafana and New Relic. Collaborate with Engineering Manager and cross-functional teams, influence architectural decisions, and develop infrastructure products that meet business needs. Utilize modern tech stack, take ownership of delivery, and advocate best practices for safe code deployment. Role supports flexible remote/work arrangements (remote, office-based, or flexible) across Europe and Ukraine, with education reimbursement and professional development opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Strong understanding of core IaaS concepts (compute, storage, networking, identity management)
- Experience with IaaS cloud providers, particularly AWS (Azure, GCP also considered)
- Expertise in Platform Engineering and/or DevOps with focus on automation and reliability
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
- Deep knowledge of CI/CD processes and best practices for safely deploying code
- AWS CDK and Terraform expertise
- Proficiency with GitHub Actions
- Experience with Grafana and New Relic for observability
- Hands-on experience with Akamai or migration from it to AWS is a plus
- Kubernetes cluster management and centralized CI/CD tooling familiarity
- Migration project experience (Akamai to AWS; New Relic to Grafana; Terraform to AWS CDK)
- Security-focused infrastructure practices
- Ability to collaborate across time zones and align cross-functional teams
