Senior Platform Engineer .NET / Docker (f/m/d) - Remote in Germany
$150,000–$180,000 year
Remote
Job Summary
Extract the .NET backend from desktop dependencies, containerize it with Docker, and establish CI/CD, install, upgrade, and licensing flows for on-prem deployment. Manage authentication tasks and build MCP servers, agent skills, and documentation for AI agents to operate the platform. Drive work to a finished, deployed state while raising blockers early and collaborating with the broader engineering org. In six months, deliver a headless backend running in Docker across environments with automated image publishing and a live on-prem deployment. By twelve months, enable customers to self-manage server installation and rollbacks, grow the team to three engineers, and establish production observability with real-time telemetry dashboards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building backend software in C#/.NET
- Track record of decoupling backend logic from a UI or desktop layer — extracting services, removing hard dependencies, making code run headless and under test
- Experience containerizing production applications with Docker (multi-stage builds, Linux images, image-size control) — beyond tutorial level
- Experience building and owning CI/CD pipelines that teams rely on
- Experience packaging software for environments the vendor doesn't control: on-prem or customer-hosted install, upgrade, configuration, and secrets management
- Fluency in English at professional working proficiency
Desired Qualifications
- Resonance with Synera's Core Values
- AI-native mindset: using AI tooling in daily engineering and wanting to build agent-facing tooling for the platform
- Ability to work autonomously and drive work to a finished, deployed state
