Job Summary
Senior Platform Engineer responsible for accelerating software delivery by building internal tools and CI/CD infrastructure, designing reusable patterns and templates, and contributing to architectural decisions for a large-scale cloud platform. Key duties include owning and evolving CI/CD infrastructure, building release engineering tooling, reducing friction for 200+ engineers, identifying and solving bottlenecks in developer workflows, contributing to platform-wide architectural choices, shaping platform processes toward self-service, and participating in on-call rotations. Required skills include 5+ years in platform/release engineering or related fields, production-grade Go/Python, deep CI/CD expertise (Buildkite, GitHub Actions), Terraform and AWS/GCP experience, and a track record of building scalable, automated workflows. Desired extras include AI tooling adoption, large-scale tooling migrations, and GPU/ HPC familiarity. The role emphasizes collaboration, impact measurement, and operating effectively in ambiguous environments. Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, release engineering, developer tooling, or closely related discipline
- Production-quality software development experience
- Go and/or Python proficiency
- Strong CI/CD experience (Buildkite, GitHub Actions) and ability to extend/build on top of them
- Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform)
- Cloud experience (AWS or GCP)
- Experience designing and building agentic workflows that automate meaningful parts of the software delivery lifecycle
- Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and scale engineering processes
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations
- Experience shaping architecture and platform engineering practices
