Senior Platform Engineer (K8's)

Job Summary
Build, run, and continuously improve the company's Kubernetes platform by owning cluster operations, networking, ingress, storage, and core services. Design automation and golden path initiatives using Terraform, Helm, and Kustomize while establishing GitOps architecture with Argo CD, digest-pinned deployments, and policy-as-code. Define CI/CD patterns that balance speed, security, and compliance, and set strategy for container supply chain security and registry governance. Own platform observability by defining SLOs, alerting standards, and dashboards across clusters, and partner with engineering and security leaders on incident response and long-term planning. Act as a technical leader to mentor engineers and influence design decisions. This role requires 5+ years in Platform, SRE, or DevOps with deep production Kubernetes experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in Platform, SRE, or DevOps roles with deep production Kubernetes experience
- Proven ownership of complex systems and experience driving platform-level initiatives
- Strong expertise in GitOps, CI/CD architecture, and Infrastructure as Code
- Advanced troubleshooting skills across large-scale distributed systems
- Strong communication skills and experience influencing across teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4 days in the office per week
- Occasional Travel Requirements, for team collaboration meetings and conferences
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Rancher/RKE2 or AKS in production environments
- Familiarity with policy-as-code, image signing, SBOMs, or regulated CI/CD environments
- Experience integrating AI/ML-driven automation into containerized infrastructure and DevOps workflows
- Preferred certifications: Terraform Associate, Kubernetes certifications such as CKA or CKAD
- Commitment to continual professional and technical development
