Senior Platform Engineer

Job Summary
Architect and lead complex platform projects from design to deployment, enabling engineering teams with robust CI/CD capabilities through reusable patterns and automation. Design scalable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, build containerized environments with advanced orchestration, and implement observability stacks for proactive alerting. Champion security and compliance across delivery pipelines while driving continuous improvement through scripting and tooling. Lead and mentor engineers, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize performance at scale. Work with global teams to deliver self-service capabilities that reduce developer friction and accelerate delivery.
Required Qualifications
- Deep expertise in CI/CD, automation, and pipeline architecture
- Mastery of IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi) and config management (e.g., Ansible, Chef)
- Strong AWS architecture skills and cost optimisation strategies
- Advanced containerization and orchestration experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Proficiency in observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
- Security-first mindset with hands-on experience in access control, encryption, and incident response
- Solid networking knowledge - protocols, routing, firewalls, and cloud networking
- Experience integrating and optimizing software delivery ecosystems (Git, Artifactory, Jenkins) as part of a cohesive platform strategy
- Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go, etc.)
- Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder communication skills
