Assess and decompose the existing 34-microservice architecture to identify simplification and replacement opportunities, then design and build next-generation backend services using modern Python and TypeScript stacks with LLM-augmented business logic. Own database architecture redesign, migrating from Oracle RDS to PostgreSQL and event stores, while developing data quality frameworks and validation pipelines. Replace rigid Saga chains with AI-driven workflow engines and develop LLM-powered solutions for costing rules and financial calculations. Operate in the Intent → Generate → Verify → Decide → Document loop, owning decisions on irreversible logic. Build migration pathways using the strangler fig pattern to transition without service disruption. Pair regularly with the DB specialist to transfer knowledge, document schema decisions in Markdown ADRs, and maintain living runbooks. Contribute to AI constitutions encoding pricing constraints and cross-train frontend developers on backend APIs.
