Job Summary
Senior Platform Engineer (DevOps) responsible for owning outcomes for the engineers served, building self-service tooling, and setting technical direction for deployment, observability, security, and AI-driven automation. You will own end-to-end outcomes, descope to the cheapest viable solution, design and operate GitOps with AWS EKS, ArgoCD, and serverless (AWS Lambda), lead incident response and blameless postmortems, architect AI-driven leverage with guardrails and cost controls, manage credentials and compliance (SOC 2, GDPR), and mentor others while driving cost-efficiency and scalable tooling. Requirements include 5+ years in production infrastructure, AWS, Docker/Kubernetes/EKS, Terraform, OpenTelemetry/Datadog, multiple databases, strong systems-design judgment, and a 4-year CS/engineering degree. Standout qualifications include internal developer platform experience, observability expertise, and multi-account AWS exposure.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years building, operating, and owning production infrastructure at scale
- Deep expertise in AWS and containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes / EKS)
- Strong CI/CD and GitOps (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD)
- Terraform and configuration automation
- Linux (Ubuntu) proficiency
- Production databases (PostgreSQL/RDS, DynamoDB, MySQL, MongoDB, MongoDB)
- Security-minded with SOC 2/GDPR awareness
- 4-year degree in engineering or computer science
- Experience leading incidents and operating customer-facing production environments
- AI usage and tooling in daily work
- Clear written and verbal communication, mentorship experience
