Job Summary
The Senior Platform Engineer will design and develop the Control Server, API, and CLI for managing the lifecycle of thousands of environments. Responsibilities include building logic for automated rollbacks, developing automated provisioners, and ensuring the platform CLI and API are intuitive and well-documented. The ideal candidate is required to possess a passion for building robust orchestration systems, a Tier-1 Service mindset, and a relentless focus on ownership and accountability. Essential qualifications include software development experience, proficiency in Golang, and experience in managing cloud resources.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience, specifically building APIs, CLI tools, or backend orchestration logic.
- Proficient in Golang.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems patterns, specifically idempotency, state machines, and eventual consistency.
- Demonstrable expertise managing cloud resources (AWS/Azure) via code, specifically for automated provisioning.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) or OIDC/OAuth2 flows.
Desired Qualifications
- Significant experience with PostgreSQL for managing complex, relational entity state.
- Experience building custom Kubernetes controllers or extending Terraform providers.
- Familiarity with gRPC for high-performance internal service communication.
