Job Summary
Design and build Burq's AWS platform foundations, including ECS Fargate services, RDS clusters, and SQS queues, while executing the Aurora DB production migration and owning the Terraform infrastructure-as-code strategy. Harden IAM permissions, audit public S3 buckets, and enable AWS Config and Security Hub to maintain SOC 2 Type 2 readiness. Own GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines, build PR stack environments, and integrate AI-assisted testing. Lead post-incident reviews to create runbooks and partner with product teams on standing sprint allocations for platform work. This high-ownership role supports the founding Platform team as Burq scales its logistics delivery solution globally.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- 3+ years focused on infrastructure and platform engineering
- Deep AWS expertise
- Terraform proficiency
- Strong CI/CD background
- Security-minded
- Experience with observability tooling
