Job Summary
Senior Platform Engineer – AI & DevOps to automate SDLC with Agentic AI, build data pipelines, own DevOps and platform foundations, drive AI adoption for trading operations, optimize costs, establish governance and reliability, and mentor the engineering team. In-office role based in Montréal, QC, Canada; heavy emphasis on cloud-native systems, Python tooling, CI/CD, security-by-default practices, and collaboration with senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years in software engineering, platform engineering or DevOps
- direct ownership of production infrastructure, incident response, and reliability at scale
- experience driving adoption of generative AI and agentic workflows
- cloud-native systems design and operation across AWS/GCP/Azure
- strong Python for building automation and backend tools
- Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability
- cloud security and secure-by-default practices (IAM, secrets management, access controls)
- cost efficiency improvements and platform governance
- SQL and data platform concepts for production pipelines
- clear communication with technical teams and senior leadership
- coaching and sharing engineering best practices
- Kubernetes in production
- Dagster / dbt / DataHub / Grafana / Polars / Pandas / PostgreSQL familiarity
- Claude Code or similar AI tooling familiarity
Desired Qualifications

- SQL and data platform concepts for production data pipelines
- strong communication skills and ability to work with senior leadership
- ability to coach and share best practices across teams
- experience with Dagster / dbt, Grafana, DataHub, Polars, Pandas, PostgreSQL
- experience with Kubernetes in production
- knowledge of IAM, secrets management, and governance of infrastructure
- experience with data pipelines and data platforms
- familiarity with AI tooling and SDLC automation
- experience with cost governance and reliability engineering
- security-focused mindset and governance practices
- experience with agentic AI workflows and Spec-Driven Development
- ability to operate in an entrepreneurial culture
- in-office presence and collaboration in a distributed team
- French-English bilingual capabilities (beneficial)
