Job Summary

Lead tooling decisions and coordinate the refurbishments and development of injection molding tooling to support cost-effective, high-quality production. Provide direction and coaching to Tooling Technicians, review 3D designs for tooling quotes, and support mold design, build, and repair functions. Travel to injection mold vendors across the US/Mexico/Canada to attend trials and review tool progress. Drive continuous improvement within the Tooling Department, lead cross-functional collaborations, and ensure tooling meets ConMet specifications and quality objectives. Facilitate design reviews, interface with tooling vendors, and assist with manufacturability and cost optimization during part design reviews. Maintain tooling records and lead problem solving to optimize tooling performance and reliability.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
  • 3+ years plastics manufacturing engineering experience
  • knowledge of plastics tool design
  • GD&T proficiency
  • AutoCAD/PROE, 3-D modeling software
  • strong leadership skills
  • authorization to work in the US full-time
  • no visa sponsorship
