Job Summary
Senior Plant Operator/Shift Supervisor responsible for monitoring and maintaining all plant systems during continuous production and during idle/shutdown periods. Operates with limited supervision, demonstrates advanced knowledge of the Maverick facility and its operating systems, uses PLC/SCADA as a Board Operator, and provides shift leadership, operational oversight, and technical guidance to Plant Operators. Performs essential duties including reading P&IDs and PFDs, maintaining safe operating limits per SOPs and OSHA standards, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues to minimize downtime, conducting sampling and laboratory-related tasks, managing documentation of production status, and coordinating maintenance and safety procedures. Requires experience in plant operations, strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, and forklift operation with certification. Must possess a valid driver’s license and English proficiency; background checks/drug testing required.”,
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Proficient in English
- Basic PLC/HMI board operations (FactoryTalkView preferred)
- Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills
- Must obtain and maintain forklift operator certification
- Valid driver’s license
- A minimum of three years experience in operations and maintenance of chemical plants or similar industrial plants preferred
