Senior Planning Engineer (Water)

Job Summary
Lead technical assessments of water supply and sewerage networks, addressing asset condition, renewals, and population growth. Deliver feasibility investigations, options assessments, and functional designs for complex projects, while preparing business cases that meet economic regulator requirements. Oversee risk management and apply Safety-in-Design principles across substantial projects, coordinating specialist inputs to integrate them into high-level technical reports. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to proposals for medium to large projects. This role sits within WSP's national Water team, focusing on shaping sustainable water infrastructure across Australia. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's in Engineering with Chartered status and 6–10+ years of experience in water engineering, including significant consultancy and leadership in major water projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or equivalent)
- Chartered status (CPENG & RPEQ or working towards RPEQ within 12 months)
- 6–10+ years in water engineering (planning/design)

- Advanced knowledge of water supply and sewerage network planning
