Senior Planning Engineer – Renewable Energy Projects

Job Summary
Develop and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project across development, engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases. Prepare work breakdown structures, activity coding, and critical path analyses while conducting schedule risk analysis to identify slippage and recovery plans. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to integrate inputs into master schedules and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports with performance KPIs. Support cost control through forecasting, earned value analysis, and variance analysis, and assist in preparing RfP, tender, and contract schedules. Monitor compliance with milestones, grid connection deadlines, and permitting timelines, and evaluate claims and change orders from a planning perspective. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 3–5 years of planning experience in renewable energy projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
- Minimum 3–5 years of planning experience in large infrastructure or renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid, or storage)
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and/or MS Project
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with EPC contractors, consultants, and utility stakeholders
- Familiarity with renewable energy permitting, interconnection, and regulatory timelines
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Knowledge of earned value management and project control principles
- Understanding of construction methodologies and renewable energy technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Proactive and adaptable to fast-paced project environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while maintaining quality and deadlines
