Senior Planning Engineer

Job Summary
Develop and monitor project schedules in P6, managing customer, partner, and supplier dependencies while generating metrics on critical paths, earned value, and labor forecasts. Conduct forensic schedule analysis to identify delays, disruptions, and their causes, supporting claims preparation, dispute resolution, and Extension of Time reviews. Lead bid submissions by creating comprehensive schedule narratives, estimating effort levels, and assessing contractual requirements. Collaborate with project managers and legal teams to resolve trends and risks, utilizing methodologies such as TIA and Windows Analysis. Requires 6-7 years of experience in complex technology-based projects, preferably within the Metro/Rail Sector, with expert skills in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Full-time role in Cairo, Egypt.
Required Qualifications
- 6-7 years of experience in complex technology-based projects
- Expert level skills in Primavera P6 & Microsoft Project software
- Advanced/Expert skills in Microsoft Excel
- Able to understand complex technology & resolve complex problems
- Excellent reporting and communication skills
- Proactive, able to work independently with little oversight or guidance
- Able to plan and manage program schedules including projects requiring over 1,500 activities
- Knowledge of TILOS & Primavera Risk analysis
- Understanding of contract conditions (FIDIC, NEC)
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
- 7 years of experience in planning/scheduling
- 2 years in forensic planning or claims analysis
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PSP, or MRICS
