Job Summary
Senior Planning/Budget Analyst role supporting budgeting, strategic planning, and program management for defense contracting in the Washington metropolitan area. Responsibilities include budgeting exercises, annual budget submission, CBJB preparation, budget execution monitoring and realignments, developing performance measures for strategic goals, conducting complex program analyses, preparing documentation and briefings, and coordinating with leadership and stakeholders. Requires high analytical skills, financial acumen, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (Master’s preferred/substitutable for experience), 8+ years of related experience, strong knowledge of federal budgeting regulations, proficiency with automated planning tools, and TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver concise, data-driven presentations to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Minimum 8 years of progressively responsible professional experience in project/program management, quantitative analysis, or financial analysis
- Master’s of Business Administration may substitute for two years of applicable work experience at a mid-level
- Strong knowledge of federal regulations and laws related to budgeting and resource management
- Proficiency in automated program planning software applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of project management concepts and principles
- Prior experience with resource planning and understanding of budgeting practices
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph
