Job Summary
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using advanced planning methodologies and critical path analysis. Coordinate with engineering, construction, and procurement teams to ensure schedule alignment and resource optimization. Analyze project constraints, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to maintain schedule integrity. Manage resource allocation, labor planning, and equipment scheduling across multiple concurrent projects. Prepare and present schedule reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management and stakeholders. Monitor schedule performance, track progress against baselines, and implement corrective actions as needed. Mentor junior planning staff and establish best practices for scheduling and planning processes. Ensure compliance with project specifications, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience in construction planning, scheduling, or project management
- Experience in joint venture and major projects
- Demonstrated expertise in developing and managing complex project schedules
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, sequencing, and engineering coordination
- Proficiency with project management software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent)
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and mentor others
- Proficiency with construction management systems and scheduling software
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Experience with risk and change management and schedule optimization techniques
- Knowledge of construction cost estimation and budget management
- Familiarity with engineering drawings and technical specifications
Desired Qualifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP) certification, is an asset
