Job Summary
Manage procurement strategies and execute RFQs to source materials domestically and internationally, ensuring supplier delivery schedules and quality meet project timelines. Conduct vendor negotiations on price, specifications, and delivery while reviewing MRP requirements and inventory balances to maintain material availability. Lead cross-functional teams to qualify new suppliers, optimize the supply base, and maintain internal records for lead times and supplier performance. Comply with SOX requirements and use ERP systems to track inventory and manage purchasing lead times. Review engineering drawings and specifications to support manufacturing needs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, engineering, finance, technical background or related field of study
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive procurement experience (usually post education) in the field of manufacturing or engineering
- 2-5 years' experience in a sourcing organization or relevant business/commercial experience
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint, MS Office Proficiency
- MRP, SAP, Ariba
- Established Procurement skillset to include sourcing indirect categories, negotiation, strategy development and execution, contract development, financial analysis, market analysis, supplier diversity and management
- Demonstrated experience identifying and developing procurement tools and reports
- Proven ability to utilize various industry information and benchmarking, draw upon knowledge and researching data utilizing internal and external sources of the global markets, interpret key stakeholder requirements, and leverage actionable data analytics in evaluating strategies, developing options, and executing tactics to deliver sustainable sourcing solutions
- Experience implementing SAP systems
