Job Summary
Senior Pipeline Engineer to lead and contribute to pipeline design projects across lifecycle (planning, FEED, route selection, permitting, detailed design, procurement, construction, and demolition) for liquids, gas, and slurry systems in mining, oil & gas, and water sectors. Responsibilities include field/office work, field investigations and surveys, ROW coordination, cost estimates and bids, client-facing communications, permit package development, and ensuring project delivery per company procedures. Requires ABET-accredited mechanical/chemical/civil engineering degree, 5-7 years pipeline design experience, EIT (PE preferred), familiarity with relevant design codes (49 CFR Part 192/195, ASME B31.4, B31.8, AWWA M11), proficiency with Pipeline Toolbox, AutoPIPE/CAESAR II, PipeFLO, AFT Impulse, and design tools (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, CADWorks); travel up to 25% and strong teamwork and safety focus.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
- A minimum of 5-7 years pipeline design experience (consulting or operating company)
- Registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) minimum; Professional Engineer (PE) preferred
- Knowledge of liquids and gas design codes and regulations including 49 CFR Part 192 and 195, ASME B31.4 B31.8, AWWA M11
- Familiar with Pipeline software such as Pipeline Toolbox, AutoPIPE/CAESAR II, PipeFLO, and AFT Impulse
- Proficiency with design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Plant 3D, and/or CADWorks
- Detail-oriented, highly organized with time management abilities
- Strong interpersonal and client-service oriented skills
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Ability to work independently and with cross-discipline teams
