Job Summary
As a Senior Physical Design Engineer at NVIDIA, you will lead the physical design and implementation of SOC devices, specifically targeting networking markets at the partition and chiplet level. Your responsibilities include establishing physical design methodologies, conducting trial synthesis, managing power and clock distribution, conducting place and route, achieving timing closure, and performing physical verification. You must have experience with VLSI physical design on advanced 5nm to 3nm technology nodes, a proven record of designs delivered to production, and strong skills in tools from major EDA companies. Proficiency in Python, Perl, Tcl, and Make scripting is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- BSEE / MSEE or equivalent experience
- 5 years of experience in VLSI physical design implementation on 5nm, 4nm and 3nm technology
- A successful track record of delivering designs to production
- Experience with CAD tools from Synopsys and Cadence
- Prior experience in timing closure, clock/power distribution and analysis, RC extraction and correlation
- Strong power user of P&R, Timing Analysis, Physical Verification, IR Drop Analysis
