Job Summary
Conduct ongoing development and optimization of existing Laravel-based systems while conceiving and implementing new features and applications. Perform code reviews to ensure code quality and actively contribute to technical concepts, architectures, and development standards. Drive the reduction of technical debt and continuously improve existing systems through close collaboration with product management and the development team. Maintain responsibility for code quality and technical decisions beyond your own code, utilizing automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and structured deployment processes. Requires 5+ years of PHP and Laravel experience, object-oriented programming expertise, and proficiency with Git and modern workflows. Salary range 60,000–75,000 €; hybrid work model available in Berlin, Dortmund, or Magdeburg.
Required Qualifications
- Abgeschlossene Berufsausbildung oder ein Studium im Bereich Informatik, Mathematik oder einer vergleichbaren Fachrichtung – oder eine gleichwertige praktische Erfahrung
- Mindestens 5 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der PHP- und Laravel-Entwicklung
- Sehr gute Kenntnisse in objektorientierter Programmierung und Web-Architekturen
- Erfahrung in der Weiterentwicklung langlebiger, produktiver Webanwendungen
- Erfahrung mit automatisierten Tests im PHP-/Laravel-Umfeld (z. B. PHPUnit, Pest)
- Verständnis für CI/CD-Pipelines und strukturierte Deployment-Prozesse
- Sicherer Umgang mit Versionskontrolle (Git) und modernen Entwicklungs-Workflows
- Hohes Bewusstsein für Code-Qualität, Wartbarkeit und Performance
