Job Summary
Fill and dispense unit dose and stock medications to nursing units and ancillary departments while triaging patient orders and maintaining automated dispensing system integrity. Manage oral and IV medication distribution with advanced knowledge in two or more specialty pharmacy areas. Requires Oregon Certified Pharmacy Technician or license, two years of integrated health system pharmacy practice, and experience with automated dispensing machines and electronic health records. Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Oregon Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician
- Oregon Pharmacy Technician License
- 2 years Minimum of 2 years (> 4160 clock hours) of pharmacy practice in an integrated health system and PTCB certification
- 3 years (> 6240 hours) hospital pharmacy if technician does not have PTCB certification
- Previous experience with Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and electronic health records (EHR)
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician program
- Advanced PTCB certificate (e.g., compounded sterile products, advanced certified pharmacy technician, medication history certificate, controlled substances)
- Specialty certification (e.g. ACPE approved sterile compounding certification) where applicable by role and state
