Job Summary
Senior People Technology Analyst - Workday responsible for owning and continuously enhancing the Workday Benefits and Compensation module, designing, building, testing, and deploying Open Enrollment configurations end-to-end, building and optimizing Workday reports, and partnering with Benefits, HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into Workday solutions. The role involves scope prioritization of Workday releases, collaboration with developers and vendors to enhance Workday integrations, reviewing proposed changes for process improvements, triaging Workday enhancements for HCM, Compensation, Payroll, and reporting, and gathering/documenting business requirements for programs executed through Workday. The candidate will champion Samsara’s cultural principles and operate within a flexible, partly remote model in the US. Minimum base salary range is $96,092.50 to $161,500 USD with potential RSU and total rewards; working in a hybrid/remote environment with global collaboration and a focus on customer success and long-term growth.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience working for fast-growing, global companies
- 4+ years experience in Workday Benefits configuration
- 2+ years experience configuring core HCM required
- Experience in Workday business process configuration, security, and organization configuration
- Experience in Workday HCM, Benefits, and Core HCM modules in U.S. and International locations
- Experience writing and completing test scenarios for system implementations and enhancements
- Experience leading and configuring Compensation grids for the annual review process
- Strong understanding of Benefits best practices, HR processes, and compliance. Experience documenting and analyzing requirements.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies and prioritization
- Ability to prioritize workload and deliver enhancements or fixes on time without supervision. Provide accurate timelines, follow-up, and required documentation for change management
- An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience with Workday Benefits, Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking
- Knowledge of employment compliance and legal best practices
- Experience working with Jira, Zendesk, and other business applications integrating to Workday
