Job Summary
Senior People Partner for SumUp Pay responsible for designing and implementing a people strategy for the Consumer tribe, adapting SumUp programmes to fit team size and pace, partnering with Talent Acquisition to align hiring plans, and acting as the trusted go-to for people decisions. You’ll shape leadership development, career frameworks, and workforce planning for an incubation-stage team, use AI tools to improve processes, and influence senior leaders to grow and develop a high-performing, diverse team from day one.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a People Partner or HRBP in a fast-growing organization with a track record of balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing talent and performance management processes and career development frameworks
- Strong knowledge of employment law, particularly across the UK
- Ability to build trust and credibility quickly with senior stakeholders and influence decisions without direct authority
- Comfort adapting company-wide programmes to fit a smaller, fast-moving team
- Proactive in spotting people’s risks and using data to back up recommendations
