Job Summary
Senior People Partner (HR Business Partner) at Bezos Academy serves as a trusted advisor to leaders, managers, and school staff nationwide, driving learning and development, organizational and workforce planning, performance management, goal setting, and other people processes. Translate people strategy into effective team execution, support employee relations and career growth, and help create an outstanding employee experience where teams are set up to thrive and deliver exceptional outcomes for children. In-person at the Seattle office at least two days a week with relocation support available. Full-time, salaried role in Seattle, WA with a salary range of $113,000-$185,000. Requires eight+ years HR experience across HR generalist roles and/or related areas, experience supporting a nationally-distributed hourly workforce, strong coaching and communication skills, and travel up to 20%. Preferred qualifications include strong written communication, partnering with engineering/product, culture-focused initiatives, data-driven decision making, talent assessment, and startup/dynamic org experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Eight or more years of relevant experience across a broad spectrum of human resources experience in HR generalist roles and/or a combination of employee relations, talent management, talent development, talent acquisition, and people operations
- Demonstrated success at navigating, resolving, and documenting a variety of employee relations issues
- Experience supporting a nationally-distributed workforce inclusive of hourly employees, with a strong understanding of frontline operations, workforce dynamics, and other unique needs of hourly employees
- Experience coaching and influencing across functions and levels of an organization, with exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proven ability to build trusting relationships across lines of difference
- Ability to travel to school sites within Washington state as well as in other states up to 20% of the time
