Job Summary
Senior People & Culture Assistant in Bali to partner with the People & Culture Manager on post-joiner employee lifecycle, performance management, and workplace engagement. Responsibilities include managing Employee Relations & Performance (PIPs, disciplinary actions, conflict mediation), designing and executing engagement initiatives and monthly town halls, supporting performance cycles (annual reviews, mid-year reviews), HR Operations & Payroll coordination (onboarding, contract extensions, liaison with Payroll Consultant), and General Affairs management of the Bali office (security, housekeeping, facility schedules). Requires 3+ years HR/People Operations experience, Indonesian labor law fluency, strong English communication, and comfort with Deel, MS Office, MS Teams, and AI-enabled workflows. Must reside in Bali and be onsite at Kuta office; Gen Z-focused mindset; data-informed with ability to derive insights from HR metrics. Previous General Affairs experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of progressive HR/People Operations experience
- Must live in Bali and be physically present in Kuta office
- Fluent in English
- Tech-savvy: experience with Deel, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams; comfortable using AI tools to streamline workflows
- Solid understanding of Indonesian employment regulations (labor law)
- Gen Z familiarity and ability to motivate and set clear boundaries in a Gen Z workforce
- Experience handling PIPs, issuing warning letters, and managing sensitive employee relations issues
- Ability to analyze basic HR metrics (turnover, engagement index) for actionable insights
- Previous experience with General Affairs (building maintenance, security, OB supervision) is a plus
