Job Summary
Senior People and Culture Generalist responsible for serving as a primary point of contact for employees and leaders, supporting a wide range of people-related topics, managing performance management activities, partnering on merit/promotion/talent review processes, contributing to job architecture and communications, and leading cross-functional projects to enhance employee experience and data quality. This role emphasizes practical, human-centered solutions, policy alignment with employment law across Canada and the United States, and collaboration with People & Culture Business Partners to ensure accurate, equitable compensation, change management, and employee communications. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in HR or related field (or equivalent experience), 5–7+ years of HR/People and Culture experience, strong HRIS and reporting proficiency, and a hybrid in-office expectation of three days per week in Kitchener, Ontario.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5–7+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources or People and Culture role
- Hybrid work arrangement with in-office 3 days per week at D2L's HQ in Kitchener, Ontario
- Experience with HRIS platforms and reporting tools
- Strong comfort working with data and trends to inform recommendations and decisions
- Experience navigating sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion
- Interest in improving people programs and processes in practice
