Job Summary
Monitor, install, and perform maintenance on personal computers, laptops, software, and networks while responding to user requests and conducting on-the-spot diagnostic evaluations. Implement corrections, train users on system operations, and maintain logs and inventory of equipment repairs. Support the LAN Administrator with server maintenance and administration, including general knowledge of network products like Novell, Cisco, and UNIX. In the specialized Linux/Classified environment, review computer systems for machine capabilities and prepare reports on hardware. Develop functional requirements for hardware acquisitions, configure telecommunications systems, and analyze performance statistics for optimization. Define project plans, conceptualize integrated infrastructure solutions, and lead continuous improvement activities while coaching team members.
Required Qualifications
- AS in relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years or more years of directly related experience
- Active DOE Q Clearance Minimum to Start or DoD Top Secret with Reciprocity
- Ability to obtain an SCI Clearance
- US Citizen
- 100% onsite availability
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Cyber Security interface and requirements
- Windows System Administration in a large corporate environment, at least 2-4 years
- Familiarity of Classified Network Application Request System (CNARS) process
- Experience working with lab and tester-based systems, including unclassified and classified data backup solutions
- Organized individual with self-driven to complete tasks
- Familiar with VMware / Virtual Machine environment
