Job Summary
Senior Payroll Specialist leading complex payroll cycles, developing and implementing payroll policies, performing system enhancements, and ensuring regulatory compliance across UK and international payroll. Responsibilities include resolving advanced payroll discrepancies, generating detailed payroll reports, training and mentoring junior payroll associates, coordinating multi-departmental payroll activities, supporting financial audits with payroll data, and driving payroll process improvements. Requires deep regulatory knowledge, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, and proficiency with payroll systems (e.g., Global View or SAP HR). Johns the team to mitigate payroll risks and optimize processes in a global context.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant professional experience in finance or payroll calculation and personnel administration, or a related field
- Experience with managing UK payroll processes is preferred
- Experience in an international corporate environment
- Compliance Expertise: Deep understanding of payroll regulatory requirements
- Advanced Problem-Solving: Tackling complex payroll issues effectively
- Analytical Skills: Generating and interpreting payroll data reports
- Technology Utilization: Ensuring payroll systems are up-to-date and efficient, familiarity with Global View or SAP HR is preferred
- Communication Skills: Competent interfacing with multiple departments
- Process Optimization: Implementing impactful improvements in payroll processes
- Advanced English language skills
