Senior Payroll Specialist

Job Summary
Senior Payroll Specialist responsible for day-to-day U.S. payroll administration for a distributed workforce (600–1,000 employees across ~35 states) using Paylocity; manage bi-weekly payroll cycle, payroll changes (new hires, terminations, corrections, direct deposits), and timecard adjustments for a large hourly/nonexempt population. Own the U.S. compliance calendar (EEO-1, CA Pay Data, OSHA 300), coordinate ACA and non-discrimination testing with Benefits, review background checks, run quarterly health exclusion checks, monitor state legislative changes, and partner with Legal on handbook/policy updates. Lead annual Compliance Refresh and ensure policy acknowledgments/training are completed for employees and contractors. Collaborate with external payroll partner and internal teams to audit, resolve discrepancies, and prepare filings; support internal/external audits with well-documented payroll records; operate in an offshore setup while maintaining CT/ET hours for U.S. collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of hands-on U.S. payroll administration experience
- experience with Paylocity or similar payroll systems
- experience handling EEO-1, Pay Data Reports, OSHA 300 logs
- ability to manage multi-state compliance calendar
- capable of coordinating with Legal on handbook/policy reviews
- experience handling background checks and training acknowledgements
- ability to work offshore with U.S. collaboration hours
