Job Summary
Senior Payroll & Compensation Specialist to own and manage end-to-end payroll operations in an international, fast-paced environment, with a focus on developing robust compensation and benefits. Key responsibilities include managing the full monthly payroll cycle with accuracy and compliance, processing payroll inputs (variable elements, absences, employee changes), payroll controls and reconciliations, payroll-related accounting entries with finance, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and tax regulations, serving as the main contact for payroll queries, coordinating payroll processes with abroad entities and local HR partners, and maintaining proper documentation and audit trails. Drive process improvement and automation to increase efficiency; document and standardize payroll and compensation processes; collaborate with HRIS teams to optimize systems. Manage and calculate ad hoc compensation elements (bonuses, incentives, equity participation), contribute to salary benchmarking and market analysis, design and maintain salary grids and compensation structures, and partner with Talent Management on compensation reviews. Monitor budgets in collaboration with Finance and prepare regular reports and dashboards. Required experience includes 5+ years in payroll, strong knowledge of payroll processes, Swiss payroll and Swiss labor laws, experience with payroll systems/HRIS, and strong analytical and communication skills. Proactive, accurate, organized, and able to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and external providers. This role is located in Gland, Vaud, Switzerland with in-person work arrangements.
