Job Summary
Senior Payroll Analyst SME for payroll operations, providing guidance and support to payroll processors and partnering with HR and Finance to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and data integrity. Focus on complex employee and employer tax matters, wage garnishments, compensation leveling reviews, year-end support, and resolution of payroll tax discrepancies. This role does not process payroll or file tax returns but plays a critical oversight, analysis, and issue-resolution role for these tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment
- Strong knowledge of employee and employer payroll tax regulations
- Experience managing wage garnishments, tax-related escalations, and compensation-related payroll analysis
- Hands-on experience with UKG and Workday payroll systems
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
