Job Summary
Build and optimize scalable data pipelines to improve data model quality and identify operational friction points in the payment processing journey. Develop a robust operational forecasting model to predict future capacity based on workload demand. Collaborate with senior stakeholders to communicate insights that drive real change for customers and own key metrics tracking for the organization. Expose vast data assets through meaningful reports and visualizations to support cross-team discovery and decision-making. This IC2 role sits within the Payment Operations organization, which ensures customers' payments flow smoothly across borders. You will join a team of 150+ analysts to improve analytics and data health. Located in Tallinn, Estonia, this position requires strong SQL, Python, and dbt skills, along with quantitative expertise in statistics or engineering.
Required Qualifications
- Strong experience with SQL and building data pipelines
- Comfortable working with complex data models and able to independently design and implement new models
- Strong quantitative skills
- Ideally a background in statistics, mathematics, physics, engineering, analytics, computing, or any other scientific areas
- Strong communication skills and an ability to translate business insights into persuasive analytical narratives that are simple to understand and that drives customer impact
- An ability to structure business problems with minimal supervision and prioritise problems collaboratively with stakeholders
- You take ownership of your own impact on our customers
- You're proactive
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Looker, PowerBI, Tableau etc.) and demonstrate confident storytelling ability with data
- You're placed in Tallinn, Estonia; or are willing to relocate here
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a FinTech area, specifically in the payments space (domestic, cross-border, cards, etc.)
- Prior experience working with forecasting, and working in operational analytics
- Experience with user-facing products and data
- Strong Python and/or dbt skills
