Job Summary
Senior Pavement Specialist (Roads) - Asphalt oversees design and construction delivery for road pavement projects, leading multidisciplinary coordination, reviewing designs and technical submissions (drawings, specifications, BOQ), ensuring constructible, compliant solutions, and managing technical risks across the project lifecycle. Responsibilities include guiding soil geotechnical and roads construction aspects for asphalt and concrete pavement types, coordinating with design consultants, PMCM, contractors, and internal teams, leading technical design reviews and value engineering workshops, ensuring alignment with project standards and authority requirements, and maintaining awareness of international and regional codes and standards. Strong leadership in coordinating multidisciplinary teams, excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to operate under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment are essential; proficient in technical documentation, reporting, and quality assurance. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 15 years of relevant experience, with expertise in asphalt batch plant checklists, construction sequencing of road layers, site tests, and quality control procedures, plus familiarity with standards such as SHC, MOT, MOMRA, AASHTO, BRITSH, and related pavement specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (or equivalent alterative qualification or related work experience)
- Minimum 15 years of relevant technical experience
- Experience coordinating with stakeholders, contractors, and authority bodies is essential.
- Fully aware of local and international standards and specifications for roads pavement including SHC, MOT, MOMRA, AASHTO, BRITSH
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical coordination and resolve
