Job Summary
Senior Patient Affairs Specialist responsible for verifying benefits and insurance authorizations for medical procedures, confirming provider participation with networks, interpreting patient benefits (deductibles, copayments, coinsurance), assisting patients in understanding coverage, handling inbound calls and emails, routing patients with warm transfers, maintaining demographic and insurance data in the EMR, documenting inquiries, proactively communicating with leadership about issues, and performing other job-related duties in a designated work queue across office or hospital settings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Three years of relevant experience
- EPIC experience
- Medical insurance verification, prior authorization, or related healthcare administrative work
