Job Summary
Senior Patient Access Specialist responsible for admitting patients, collecting and verifying insurance and demographic information, and supporting the revenue cycle with tasks such as scheduling, training, and creating materials. Role requires accurate MRN assignment, medical necessity/compliance checks, POS processing, payment collection at point of service, and on-call coverage. Must demonstrate strong customer service, knowledge of insurance verification and benefits, familiarity with Medicare ABN processes, and the ability to develop training programs for new hires. The position emphasizes adherence to policies, quality auditing, and cross-department collaboration within Ensemble Health Partners' revenue cycle operations.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or Equivalent Experience
- Understanding of Revenue Cycle including admission, billing, payments, and denials
- Comprehensive knowledge of patient insurance process for obtaining authorizations and benefits verification
- Knowledge of Health Insurance requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology or CPT or procedure codes
- Inquisitive and open to innovation including AI to improve processes and experiences
