Job Summary
Senior Pastefill and Projects Engineer at Northern Star Resources, based at Carosue Dam Operations with an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth, leads pastefill operations and underground infrastructure projects, coordinates paste infrastructure works and backfill requirements, supports capital project design, management and execution, provides monthly progress updates, and manages underground contractors to ensure safety, quality and schedule adherence. Develops safe procedures and systems of work, contributes to risk management and compliance with safety and environmental standards. Requires strong knowledge of pastefill operations, infrastructure planning, contractor management, and proficiency with Deswik and VentSim.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, preferably Mining Engineering
- current Australian C - Class Drivers licence
- experience with pastefill operations, infrastructure planning, and contractor management in a mechanised hard-rock underground mining environment
- competent user of Deswik (or similar mine planning software) and VentSim
