Job Summary
Senior Party Chief leading a 2-3 person field crew on mid to large-scale survey projects. Responsibilities include directing field operations, serving as primary liaison between crew and project management, planning fieldwork (boundary, topographic surveys, construction staking), performing advanced calculations, training crew in surveying techniques and safety, interpreting plans, calibrating equipment, conducting QA checks, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality survey data and detailed field plans. Requires leadership experience, strong communication, and deep expertise in surveying principles and equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 10+ years of experience in surveying
- extensive experience with boundary, topographic, and construction staking
- proficiency with Leica Total Stations, Robotic Total Stations, and GPS equipment
