Job Summary
The Senior Partnerships Manager will drive AoPS external relations by developing relationships with ESA programs, virtual charter networks, and a range of partners (corporate sponsors, foundations, donors) to expand access to math education. Responsibilities include building and nurturing strategic partnerships, securing sponsorships for programs (e.g., Worldwide Online Olympiad Training), representing AoPS at conferences and government meetings, coordinating with product, marketing, and operations teams to implement partnerships, and building a pipeline aligned with company growth objectives. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in business development or strategic partnerships, experience structuring and closing complex agreements across institutional, government, corporate, or philanthropic partners, strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills, effective communication with diverse stakeholders, and a solid understanding of the mathematics education landscape (experience with gifted education or enrichment ecosystems is a plus).
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or related fields, preferably in education technology or youth-serving organizations
- Experience structuring, negotiating, and closing complex partnership agreements across diverse partner types (institutional, government, corporate, or philanthropic)
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, coordinating across internal and external teams
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Understanding of the mathematics education landscape, or eagerness to develop deep expertise in it
- Familiarity with gifted education programs, enrichment ecosystems, or advanced learner communities is a plus
