Senior Partner Engineer

Job Summary
Develop detailed project plans including solution design, timeline estimation, task breakdown, and testing plans. Provide day-to-day support for technical questions from external partner stakeholders and serve as the overarching SME for internal and external teams facing technical challenges. Develop integration support material and documentation for new products, rollouts, and features while making recommendations on integration strategy, platform evolution, infrastructure, and tooling selection. Explore the business intersection between commercial strategy and technical partnership capabilities to optimize user experience. Represent Affirm's engineering team and technologies to partners such as Shopify and Stripe, collaborating on solution design and managing long-term initiative execution.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in a Solutions Engineering, Partner Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, or any other customer-facing engineering role
- Ability to read and understand multiple programming languages
- Experience with Ecommerce technologies and data models
- Experience and understanding of JSON, HTML, REST API, and Webhook technologies
- Familiarity with the following concepts: integrating UX elements w/ backend services, frameworks, and 3rd party developer APIs
- Experience with alerting and monitoring tools and applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills
- Capable of influencing internal and external stakeholders to stay on schedule
