Job Summary
Operate industrial vehicles including aerial lifts, hook lift trucks, and commercial mowers to maintain public parks, sports fields, and cemetery grounds. Perform assigned tasks in horticulture, arboriculture, and turf such as mowing, trimming, digging, and constructing pathways and playgrounds. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, perform minor vehicle maintenance, and record daily equipment logs and maintenance records. Flag traffic around operations and respond to public enquiries regarding park maintenance. Work Monday to Sunday in all weather conditions with occasional exposure to dust, chemicals, and biohazards. Requires a valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence and two years of experience in landscape or tree maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10
- Current and valid Class 5 B.C. Driver's Licence
- 2 years of directly related experience in commercial landscape, horticulture and/or tree maintenance including operating industrial landscape maintenance equipment and tools or an equivalent combination of education and experience
