Job Summary
Draft wills, revocable trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents using firm templates and software. Conduct virtual client explanation and annual review meetings while referring legal questions to supervising attorneys. Perform detailed quality-control reviews, track deadlines, and maintain accurate case-management records. Identify workflow improvement opportunities and communicate with clients and third parties regarding outstanding tasks. Manage matters from drafting through final delivery with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- Three to five years of substantive paralegal experience
- Significant experience drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, amendments, deeds, and related estate planning documents
- Experience using WealthCounsel, ElderCounsel, or comparable estate planning drafting software
- The ability to draft estate planning documents accurately with minimal supervision
- Strong proofreading and document-quality-control skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Experience communicating directly with clients
- Comfort leading client meetings by Zoom or another virtual platform
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organization, deadline-management, and follow-through skills
- The ability to work independently while remaining engaged with a collaborative remote team
- The ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
- Residence in Colorado and regular availability during Mountain Time business hours
