Job Summary
Conduct criminal division support for the Department of Justice by locating information for investigations, organizing legal documents, and reviewing transcripts and evidence. Independently compile case binders, trial notebooks, and witness lists while drafting pleadings and correspondence from templates. Perform complex legal research using Westlaw and LexisNexis, verify citations, and manage automated litigation support through scanners and document review platforms. Maintain case files, track filing deadlines, and coordinate with victim specialists to ensure adherence to Departmental guidelines. Requires a paralegal certificate or JD, two years of litigation experience, and a Public Trust clearance.
Required Qualifications

- Juris Doctorate
- currently attending an ABA-accredited law school
- completed at least one year of study
- equivalent level of legal training or experience
- 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
- project experience (as related to the task order)
- at least one year of experience in automated litigation support
- sound working knowledge of federal and state court system
- legal research procedures
- legal research resources
- thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw
- hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications
- word processing
- databases (such as document review and file management systems)
- spreadsheets
- imaging
- hardware systems
- hands-on familiarity with ESI tools
- knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources
- US Citizen
- able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
