Job Summary
Draft and review legal documents including agreements, contracts, policies, and regulatory filings for the General Counsel. Conduct legal research and analysis to track evolving regulatory changes across operating jurisdictions. Implement and maintain the firm's compliance program by monitoring updates, revising procedures, and coordinating related tasks. Manage corporate records and entity maintenance, preparing materials for boards and shareholders while overseeing external counsel engagements. Act as a liaison between Legal and other teams to ensure alignment and support special initiatives as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelors degree or equivalent, preferably along with a paralegal certificate or law degree
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a paralegal, particularly within an in-house legal department, demonstrating expertise in a fast-paced, complex legal environment
- Exceptional organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a high-pressure, deadline-driven setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to research, interpret, and apply legal principles
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to effectively convey complex legal and technical information to both legal and non-legal audiences
- A keen eye for detail, with a commitment to accuracy and quality
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, demonstrating a proactive, solution-focused mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Strong exposure to regulatory and compliance matters is highly preferred
