Job Summary
Organize and track legal files while building and maintaining a knowledge repository in SharePoint. Develop and champion processes and procedures for Legal Operations, manage the department budget, and oversee contract management and abstraction. Conduct legal research, review documents, and calendar important dates and deadlines for corporate governance and compliance matters. Maintain and manage files for corporations, LLC entities, and Trade Names/DBAs, including intellectual property administration.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience preferably with either a reputable law firm, or as an in-house Paralegal (insurance, banking or other high volume customer facing industry)
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Proficient in SharePoint
- Proficient in legal research using Westlaw and Practical Law
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Team player with customer focus
- Professional demeanor
Desired Qualifications
- Paralegal Certification
- Familiarity with Legal Tracker or other matter management system
- Exhibit attention to detail and accuracy in composing, typing and proofing materials, planning and organizing to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written skills to effectively communicate and present at all levels, both internally and externally
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and effectively prioritize work well in a fast paced environment
- Exhibits critical thinking, problem solving and analytical ability in order to gather and summarize data for reports and find solutions to various administrative problems
- Self-organizing and motivational skills with a bias to actions and results
- Ability to learn quickly, multi-task, and retain information specific to the business domain
