Job Summary
Lead the design, installation, commissioning, and start-up of packaging systems for new products, upgrades, and capacity improvements. Manage medium-scale capital projects, including scope definition, schedule, budget, and resource planning. Provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, and Operations. Apply Continuous Improvement, Lean, and Early Management principles to optimize performance and reliability. Identify and deliver cost savings, productivity improvements, and sustainability initiatives. Ensure projects meet safety, quality, regulatory, and environmental standards. Evaluate and manage external vendors, consultants, and equipment suppliers. Analyze performance data and solve complex technical problems using a structured, data-driven approach. Coach and support Operations and Maintenance teams to build technical capability and drive long-term results. This role requires 100% on-site presence with minimal travel.
Required Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or 10+ years of packaging/project experience
- 5+ years of engineering experience, including capital project execution in manufacturing environments
- Experience managing project scope, timelines, and budgets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to drive results and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- 100% on site
- Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or manufacturing environments
- Background in Operations and/or maintenance/reliability engineering roles
- Experience with 2D and 3D modeling software (ACAD, Solidworks, etc.)
- Knowledge of CI / Lean / TPM methodologies
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
